Band of Brothers

Listen, I like this show. But seriously... didn't any black people fight in World War Two? I'm sure there was at least one or two...

Yeah, but the U.S. Armed forces were racially segregated at the time, so it is conceivable that this particular unit never encountered their black counterparts.

A portrayal of the U.S. Military during the Korean War or afterwards would have to show a racially integrated armed forces.

There's something to be said, however, for the fact that the issue of segregation isn't addressed (at least in the episodes I remember seeing.)
