Hmm, so it's basically adult classes for amateur actors and dancers, with a performance element. The fee is steep, but can be subsidized, and all of the professionals in the production (director, choreographer, designers) get paid. The space is rented, so they're not taking a curated spot from anyone and there's revenue going from outside the arts into the creative industries (i.e., the owners of a space that is also used by "serious" artists). And the participants seem to be having a good time. Seems like a good setup to me.
